The shape of things to come…

Catchy title huh ? I borrowed that from episode 9 of Lost. The episode as far as m concerned was pretty good.

Children! Beware of teh Linus…Direction and shortened season is something else to discuss. Im not happy of the shortcuts and quick fixes they keep adding.

I feel weary as my life’s been tossed over and things needs to be put in in order again. Im moving… that explains the tossing… and many boxes of kitchenware explains the rest… Ok, so im not posting as much as i want to.

But dont worry. I am in the process of moving myself into the new pad, and therefore i havent been much in front of computer. My ISP then screwed me on the DSL adress transfer by saying no technician was availible until 14th of May to new adress so they wont have it set up until then. This means i wont be online as i wish i could.

See you all in about 2 weeks

Really ? I guess there is for two movie making brothers from Minnesota.
4 Oscars… Talk about a loot! Way to go Coens!!

Finally my favourite film makers, Joel and Ethan Coen gets the honor they truly deserve. It was very pleasing to see that 4 Oscars was awarded to the unforgettable and future classic No Country For Old Men !!!

The movie won:

Best directing (Ethan & Joel Coen)
Best movie of the year (Scott Rudin, Ethan & Joel Coen)
Best supporting actor (Javier Bardem)
Best screenplay adaptation (Joel & Ethan Coen)

The cast, the story…the filming… this movie has it all. The movie sets a mood that grabs you and pins you to the chair from the moment the first words are uttered by Tommy Lee Jones, right up to the end fade out. In true Coen Brothers style the scenery, art direction and camera angles is all beautiful orchestrated… the dialogue effortless, and the overall feel of movie is in sync with the filmmakers true intentions.

Anton Chigur (played to perfection by Javier Bardem) is possibly the most calculated, sinister and lethal sociopath ever portrayed on film.

- Aww thats nice! The Oscars fairie was here...

Tommy Lee Jones as the soon-to-retire law man Ed Tom Bell, feels like a cool calming breeze blowing over your face, compared to Bardems compulsive and meticulous Chigur.

Cormac McCarthy’s book, (from wich the movie borrows its title) i havent read, but im sure this movie will, like the novel, stand, as an equal to the test of time. I dont think it’s too brash to declare both as modern classics. It’s is also a great day to be a Coen brothers fan.

- What’s the most you ever lost on a coin toss ?

See you in 2008…
